Staying visible in business can feel like a full-time job, trying to be everywhere all the time. It’s easy to end up burnt out, stuck, or wondering, “Is it even worth it?”

But visibility doesn’t have to feel exhausting. Bree Boucher, Introvert Visibility Coach believes that when we shift from chasing it to attracting it, using a mix of mindset, collaboration, and a little bit of manifestation, we create space for aligned, sustainable growth. One that honours our energy, strengths, and what we actually want from our business.

Start with the inner work

Visibility isn’t just about showing up—it’s about how you show up. That starts with your mindset.

Most of us have some invisible blocks around being seen. Sometimes it’s fear of failure. Other times it’s fear of success. Either way, it can keep you spinning in the same place—watching others put themselves out there while you stay in the background.

Bree suggests journaling, reflection, and even getting outside for a walk can help. These simple tools create space to listen to yourself and get honest about what’s holding you back. When you uncover the beliefs running the show behind the scenes, that’s when real, confident visibility begins.

Ask yourself:

  • Who do I want to be seen as in my business?
  • What belief or story is making visibility feel hard?
  • How can I begin to gently shift that?

Visibility doesn’t have to mean doing it all

Thinking that being visible means being everywhere is a fast track to burnout.

Instead, Bree suggests you get strategic. Your kind of strategic. Think about how you naturally connect with others. Are you a great speaker? Podcast guesting could be perfect. Do you love writing? Guest blogs might be more your speed. Not a fan of the spotlight? You can still build deep visibility through quiet but powerful collaborations.

Start with what feels easy(ish) and aligned. Then build from there.

Bree suggests that you reverse engineer your efforts. Ask yourself:

  • What am I working towards right now?
  • How can visibility support that?
  • What kind of opportunities make sense now, not five steps from now?

That kind of intentionality helps you say yes to the right things and no to the ones that drain you.

The power of manifestation in your visibility strategy

Manifestation isn’t just wishful thinking, it’s about aligning your thoughts, beliefs, and energy with what you want to create. And it absolutely plays a role in visibility.

If you believe that opportunities will come your way, you’ll naturally start showing up in ways that invite them in. If you believe you’re ready for that podcast feature or client collaboration, you’ll take the action that aligns with that belief.

Visual cues like a vision board or simple reminder on your desk can help anchor you to where you’re going. And that clarity? It makes it easier to say yes to what aligns and no to what doesn’t.

Connection over cold pitches

Bree stresses that one of the best ways to grow your visibility is through relationships.

Pitching yourself is part of business but it shouldn’t be cold, awkward, or transactional. In fact, the most powerful opportunities often come from real connections and conversations.

Start by engaging in the communities you’re already in. Reach out with genuine intent. Ask, “How can I add value here?” rather than “What can I get?” That energy shift makes a huge difference and it builds a visibility strategy rooted in community, not competition.

A few final reflection prompts for you

As you navigate your own visibility journey, Bree gives you these questions to come back to:

  • Who do I want to be seen as?
  • What feels easy and enjoyable when it comes to being visible?
  • Who can I connect with this week to expand my visibility in a meaningful way?

Visibility doesn’t have to feel heavy. It can feel light. Purposeful. With a little intention and a lot of self-awareness, you can attract the opportunities meant for you, without burning yourself out in the process.

Bree wants you to remember to start with you, and let the strategy follow.
