This blog has now become a regular feature in my blog calendar each year. I get really excited to be able to take a purposeful moment to celebrate successes each year. There are many strategists out there who say that you can’t really begin to look forward until you’ve looked back. I’m kind of in that camp.

It’s not that you want to dwell on the past. It’s more about understanding what worked well (and what didn’t) and celebrating your successes. Even if you think you had the worst year on record. I can assure you that you’ll be able to pull out a couple of things that you are grateful for.

Here’s a few highlights from my year.

Hosted a video collaboration

Wow. This one was a learning curve. It was one of those ‘I’ve always wanted to do something like this, so I’ll ask a few of my biz buddies and clients to participate’. I also wanted some accountability to get back in front of the camera. Thinking that no-one would really want to participate, Build your Business with Confidence quickly became a 16 video series across 10 days!

I loved every moment of this project and it gave me a great opportunity to build stronger relationships as well as try out a few new features on Facebook and Instagram. My goal for this wasn’t about the numbers, but next time it will be. I will be more focused on using it to build my email list.

Took time out for me

Some may not think that this is a win, but I do! I spent three whole days on my personal development. In addition to meeting some beautiful women, I was able to ditch my self sabotaging beliefs, articulate my values and write my vision, purpose and mission.

I am so excited to have these in place and will be working on fulfilling my mission in 2020 to “connect, teach, inspire and share my knowledge to make a difference in the lives of women.” Look out for my podcasting appearances!

Said no

As I get clearer on my ideal clients, I am no longer scared to decline potential work. It’s truly liberating to be able to say no and I can see now that I am serving myself and respecting my boundaries by saying no.

Increased my revenue by 100%

I can’t claim all the credit for this. Without my amazing support team, this would not have been possible. This year we went from 1 to 3 team members and their contribution to the bottom line has been unbelievable. I am blessed to have crossed paths with Amy, Donna and Christine and am blown away by how much that have grown in ability and confidence!

Steadily increased social media followers

I know that my actual numbers aren’t that huge, but the fact that they are growing organically steadily is a great achievement. My aim to is double my Insta followers next year. I’d love to get to the 1,000 mark!’

To celebrate this year’s successes, I’ve created this infographic to share on my social media (for those of you who have seen the musical Rent, you’ll like my title. For those of you who haven’t seen it, Google the song Seasons of Love).

If you’d like a template for your Insta stories that you can change to your brand colours, drop me a line and I’ll share a version in Canva with you!

Now it’s your turn. Grab a piece of paper and write down at least five of your successes from this year. Don’t think or qualify what you’re writing. Just write and see what you come up with. Then pat yourself on the back for being so awesome! And I’ll have a virtual champers to cheer you on.
